CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Leather

    Scarring and slight color variability are characteristic of genuine leather and do not affect its durability. Some clothing fabrics with unstable colors can stain light-colored leather.

General Information Naugahyde Naugasoft 

Vinyl synthetic leather. Genuine Naugahyde. Disinfectable for medical use. Extraordinary abrasion resistance.

Specifications

  • Extraordinary abrasion resistance (1,000,000 cycles on #8 Duck CFFAla).
  • Meets GSA upholstery requirements for tear strength, stitch tear resistance, and tensile strength.
  • Meets the flammability test requirements for upholstered materials contained in the following specifications: California Technical Bulletin 117, Section E BIFMA, and Screen Test 4.6. 1. 1. UFAC.
  • Sulfide stain resistant.
  • UV stabilized pigments.
  • Protected by an Advanced Waterbased Beautygard® Topcoat.
  • Contains an agent to protect it against fungal microorganisms.
  • A genuine Naugahyde vinyl made with pride in the USA.

Cleaning and Maintenance Naugahyde Naugasoft

    While staining and soiling exposures are common to upholstery fabrics, Condor’s stain resistant formulation allows most to be removed using the following methods.

Do not dry clean or use abrasive or solvent based products.

  1. For Light soiling:
    • A solution of 10% household liquid dish soap with warm water applied with a soft damp cloth or sponge will remove most soiling.
    • If necessary, use a solution of liquid cleanser and water applied with a soft bristle brush. Wipe away the residue with a water-dampened cloth.
  2. For Heavier soiling not solved by the above method:
    • Dampen a soft white cloth with lighter fluid (naphtha) and rub gently. Rinse with a water-dampened cloth.
    • Note: Use extreme caution with this method. Complete only in a well-ventilated area and away from any open flame.
  3. For the most difficult stains not removed by the above methods:
    • Dampen a soft white cloth with a solution of household bleach (sodium hypochlorite); 10% bleach, 90% water. Rub gently.
    • Rinse with a water-dampened cloth to remove the bleach concentration.

General Information Comfort Suede

Open House upholstery by Guilford is a durable commercial upholstery fabric with a 10-year performance warranty.

Features

  • Contract-quality synthetic suede fabric
  • 88% polyester, 12% polyurethane.
  • Abrasion resistance 100,000 rubs Martindale.
  • Most stains can be removed with a suede brush, an eraser, or fine sandpaper. Dry clean or warm-water washable (14°F/60°C) with a neutral cleaner or mild detergent.

Other

This fabric does not stretch, which makes the seat feel very firm. Not our favorite for this reason, but still a very popular choice because of its durability.
